This is Misty.
She’s a brindle coloured whippet and who loves running around and then sleeping.
She especially likes sleeping.
In the photo above, you see Misty in her favourite position: relaxing / dozing on my favourite armchair… on her own duvet, of course!
Whippets are famous loungers and love nothing more than sleeping in a comfortable warm spot.
Just like me really.
We’ve had Misty in our home since 2013 when she was 8 weeks old: she is a total pleasure!
Affectionate, loving, a little bit needy and still very much a puppy (apparently whippets remain puppies, kind of, forever), I’d never consider any other dog than a whippet… they’re just too adorable.
We love all whippets and their various varieties… all dogs actually. However, to us whippets are one of the most elegant and loving dog breeds.
They’re also a miracle of nature… just watch a whippet in motion when they step on the gas!
This blog isn’t specifically about Misty, though she will of course feature heavily. Our intention is to share our experience of whippet partnership* and provide you with all sorts of whippet-related information and paraphernalia.
* I use the term partner rather than owner, since whippets pretty much like to be on equal terms with those around them: I’m sure Misty believes she is no different from us… she just isn’t quite able to walk around on two legs like the other people she shares her house with.
